The normal cruise takes 7 days and starts and ends in Paraty, a beautiful little colonial town with alot of history. Indians, slavery, gold, coffee...yes, this little town have seen many eras since the Portuguese came here for the first time in the beginning of the 1500´s.
Anyway, here we are, you know how to get ahold of us (see below right) and don´t hesitate, we´re a fun luvin´ bunch of people who knows how to enjoy life...
Welcome aboard!
Das Palmas, the djungle bay - Ilha Grande
Here we are anchored up in a place called Das Palmas on Ilha Grande. It´s a fantastic place, calm and well protected.
We take the dinghy to the beach and just walk right across the little djungle hill...a walk that takes about 15 minutes.
And then, my friends, you end up on the beautiful beach of Lopes Mendes, which you can see on the video below. Here you can surf, walk, take sun and most of all, be almost by yourself...this is what the Bay of Ilha Grande is all about...no commercial tourism, just relax, adventure, and find out things you never thought existed. Captain Mike knows this place as his own pocket, and he´ll get you there...

Weee are the Champions, my friend....

We just had some fabulous days with some great people aboard...They came from Sao Paolo, were all photographers and they just wanted to have a ball.... We were various boats on this trip since they were so numerous, and of course we could not stay away from competing between us. According to the captain on our boat Adventurer, we gained the blue ribbon in all 4 attempts....now how is that for starters??"But of course, with a crew like Amanda and her friends, who could loose", says captain Mike. Just look at her spirit in the top picture.
Bill Gates or Adventurer???

Of course you meet very interesting people when you are cruising the adventurous islands of Brazil with your sailboat.
One day we where having a barbeque in a lonely bay, on the beach, by the djungle, when a beauiful old sailboat came gliding in. and threw anchor.
Soon a small boat was coming rowing in to the shore with a stranger that intrioduced himself as Holger. Holger was from the US and had been sailing around the world for 30 years with his beautiful sailboat S/Y Lord Jim. Of course a man like him has many stories to tell you, but one of the things that struck us the most was that he once was 9 months on his boat sailing without ever going to shore... How is that for an old city-dweller like me?
On the picture you can se Holger vividly talking about his adventures and showing the hook he uses when he is hunting shark....
Theresia, who works for Microsoft and who is standing behind Holger, joined us aboard for 3 weeks in December. Not only that, she will be coming back for 2 weeks in March already. It was a hard choice, because after all, when you think about it....what would you prefer, actually??? 5 weeks with Bill Gates or 5 weeks aboard Adventurer cruising the Brazilian djungle islands???
